Emery for surface treatment

Emery or amaril is used as an abrasive in treatment of different types of surfaces. The typical self-sharpening action of the emery grains with needle shaped grains
and uniform grading make emery grains a good choice for use in these applications:

Milling Stones
Emery or amaril grains are mixed with magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride slurry (sorel cement) and allowed to set in a mould to form a solid flour or rice milling stone.

Marble and tile polishing
MgO-based sorel cement in combination with emery grains provides polishing stones, which are widely used in marble and tile polishing.

Sand blasting
Due to its hardness, emery can be used to treat almost every type of stone and metal. Emery is therefore an ideal low cost material used in the sandblasting or abrasive blasting industry. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more product information.
